Kanadische Westküste

Even though I grew up in Canada, I never went to the Pacific coast. It was only in 2023 that I traveled from Berlin to finally end up there. The ancient forests of British Columbia which I only touched upon enchanted me right away. Immediately upon returning to the studio I took to painting my impressions of the deep green, inserting associative imagery inspired by the carved totoem poles of the Haida people trying to touch upon the essence of the primal. The following works are the first series of prints that followed the paintings.
